Nestled on the edge of picturesque Vela Luka on the island of Korčula, Villas Marinović is a family estate with a history dating back to the 16th century. Today, it offers peaceful apartments and stone cottages just minutes from the promenade, beaches, and the authentic charm of island life.
Our family estate is located on the edge of the picturesque island town of Vela Luka, on the island of Korčula, where our family has continuously lived since the mid-16th century. Originally, this property was used as farmland where fruit and vegetables were grown, with a small house serving for tools and rest. A few hundred years later, with the development of tourism—especially in the past 20 years—we continue to build on our island story.
Today, in addition to cultivating fruit and vegetables, we have developed a complex with five accommodation units: three apartments and two traditional stone cottages. Located in a peaceful part of town, just a five-minute walk from the famous seafront promenade and the town center, it offers the perfect balance between tranquility and convenience. Apart from this complex, we also offer a beautiful little house in Gradina Bay, only 5 km from Vela Luka.
Vela Luka offers everything for a peaceful family holiday—beautiful beaches, charming day-trip locations, and after enjoying the sun and sea, a long and lively waterfront promenade full of atmosphere.
The town is renowned for its musical heritage, thanks above all to the beloved Croatian singer Oliver Dragojević, numerous klapas (traditional vocal groups), and cultural associations. Among the new–old attractions is the installation—soon to be completed, we hope—of the world’s longest mosaic. Continuous life in the area is evidenced by one of the most important archaeological sites in the Mediterranean—Vela Spila, definitely worth a visit.
The entire island of Korčula is interwoven with picturesque villages, vineyards, olive groves, hidden coves, and beautiful beaches, crowned by the pearl of the Mediterranean—the Town of Korčula, located 45 km to the east.
